The idea is pretty simple really...

  • 2 Riders, Alan Green & Simon Hoyle
  • 7 Days
  • A circuit of the Coast of mainland Britain (approximately 2800 miles)
  • Raise as much money as possible for The New Childrens Hopsital (£7,000 target)

The event is planned to take place in 23rd to 30th May 2009

Here's a Day by Day route plan...

23rd May - Day 1 - 341 miles
Using the Humber Bridge as a Start/Finish Line, the 1st day takes us from the Humber Bridge to Arbroath

24th May - Day 2 - 434 miles
The difficult 2nd day starts from Arbroath passing through Inverness up to John-O-Groats then back down to Inverness, the longest stretch of the whole 7 days!

25th May - Day 3 - 407 miles
The 3rd day takes us from Inverness, along Loch Ness and Loch Lomond to the Lake District, stopping in Whitehaven

26th May - Day 4 - 386 miles
The 4th day of the route starts in Whitehaven, going down along the Welsh coast to Pembroke

27th May - Day 5 - 408.1 miles
The 5th day starts off in Pembroke, crossing into Cornwall, a quick stop down at Lands End and Lizard Point and then stopping in Falmouth

28th May - Day 6 - 400 miles
The 6th day takes us along the south coast, Falmouth to Folkestone

The final 7th day takes us from Folkstone, around the Norfolk coast and back up to the Humber bridge Finish Line!

30th May - Day 8 - mileage not counted
The 8th Day isn't strictly part of the route, but we will be travelling from the Humber Bridge, back to Manchester to the site of the New Childrens Hospital to present the cheque
